Tips and Precautions to protect your skin during Holi celebrations

Holi, the Indian spring festival, celebrated every year in the month of March. The carnival of colour celebrations have utmost joy and brotherhood. People of all age group involved in various festivities like greeting each other with dry and water-colours. But the use of artificial or chemical substances mixed with either dry or wet colours or food adversely affects both human health and nature.


Various chemical substances found are malachite green and copper sulfate in green artificial colour, aluminium bromide in silver, mercury sulfate in red, Prussian blue and zinc salts in blue. Infact, glass particles are also present in various dry colours to add shine. All these chemicals are very harmful to our skin.

One needs to pay proper attention to avoid any type of skin related issues due to the chemicals while playing Holi.

  1. Apply Organic Coconut oil

Pores in our skin allow easy penetration of the chemical substances especially in dry skin causing itching, inflammation and allergy.   1. Stay hydrated

Regular drinking of water is very much necessary to maintain our energy levels during Holi. Ample amount of hydration will also help in digesting the delicious and mouthwatering foods that we consume throughout the day.
